Two days to explore a city known for popular culture, whether music, high street brands or city fame. You can enjoy panoramic views from the viewing platform of the Space Needle and visit Pike Place market for food and waterfront views. You can also head to Chihuly Gardens and Glass, showing the city’s outdoors of bright colours and beautiful blooms, and canoe or walk around the stunning scenery at the Washington Park Arboretum.

Depart Seattle in the afternoon and revel in the excitement as you board your cruise ship bound for Alaska. Pass the shoreline of mainland British Columbia and Vancouver Island on your journey towards this iconic destination and the wonderful ports of call.

Today is spent cruising Stephens Passage as you head towards your first port of call in Alaska - Juneau. A trip on the Mount Roberts Tramway is highly recommended. There are several trails at the top of the mountain with spectacular views of the harbour below.

Simply jaw-dropping! With jagged mountains, rainforests and fjords, Glacier Bay is a highlight of your Alaska Cruise. Home to numerous wildlife species and exceptionally beautiful scenery, you will spend time cruising through the bay, with time to admire the views and spot wildlife along the way, before heading to Icy Strait Point.

Today you will spend time in Sitka, and there are many onshore excursions that you can pre-book. One of the popular attractions is the Sitka Raptor Centre, where you can see how they protect and preserve birds of prey by rehabilitating and returning injured birds from across Alaska including eagles, hawks, falcons and owls.

With a strong Native Alaskan culture and fishing industry, Ketchikan is well worth a visit. The scenery of Alaska in the Tongass National Forest and the Misty Fjords National Monument make this area a fantastic place to visit and explore.

This evening your port of call is Victoria, the beautiful provincial capital of British Columbia. Spend some time walking down the harbourfront area and enjoy the Canadian hospitality, before embarking for your final journey to Seattle.

At the end of your cruise, you will collect your rental car and experience the wonders that mother nature has to offer onshore. Drive from Seattle to Mount Rainier National Park. An active volcano with a summit of 14,400 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier is the must-see attraction.

Although there is a much quicker and direct drive to your destination, we recommended a visit to Mount St Helens Volcanic National Monument, which will enhance your enjoyment of the drive and allow you to see the changed landscape caused by the most recent eruption of 1980, which lasted for six years. Whilst in Hood River take a scenic drive to Mount Hood.

Today you head south to Crater Lake National Park. Head for Rim Drive at Merriam Point, where you take the most scenic drive passing through Mount Scott, Plaikni Falls and Vidae Falls. There will be ample opportunity for taking some memorable photographs or videos before arriving at the Historic Crater Lake Lodge for the evening.

Your drive today will see you heading out West to the Oregon coast and the town of Florence. Here, you can enjoy a tour of the Sea Lion Caves, offering stunning ocean views and nature spotting opportunities. Whilst in Newport, visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Devils Punchbowl State Nature Area and, if you have the time, Newport’s Historic Bayfront.

Along the drive stop by Willamette Valley, Oregon’s Wine Country. The valley is home to over 300 wineries and is renowned for its excellent pinot noir. Onwards to Portland, where you will return your rental car and take in the horticultural wonders of the International Test Rose Garden, Portland Japanese Garden or the Lan Su Chinese Gardens. Visit the Portland Art Gallery and find time to simply relax in this magnificent city.

Spend time on your final day in Portland before heading to the airport for your flight home.
