Two days to explore a city known for popular culture, whether music, high street brands or city fame. You can enjoy panoramic views from the viewing platform of the Space Needle and visit Pike Place market for food and waterfront views. You can also head to Chihuly Gardens and Glass, showing the city’s outdoors of bright colours and beautiful blooms, and canoe or walk around the stunning scenery at the Washington Park Arboretum.

Collect your rental car and drive to the luscious Olympic Peninsula and the city of Port Angeles, either by catching the 35-minute ferry to Bainbridge Island (ferry crossing not included and can be prebooked via the Washington State Department of Transportation website) or by taking the longer route around the peninsula. Stop for lunch at Port Townsend and look around the restored Historic District and seaport, before driving along the rugged coastline to Port Angeles for an overnight stay.

Leave Port Angeles today and spend the day exploring Olympic National Park, home to dramatic scenery and varying ecosystems. Admire the Olympic Mountains that rise to nearly 8000 feet and for those who enjoy hiking you will be rewarded with pretty waterfalls, alpine meadows, and lakes. Visit the town of Forks, located by the National Forest, made famous after the Twilight books and films. Drive past Ruby Beach to see driftwood on the sands, sea stacks and catch a glimpse of Destruction Island and Lighthouse. Overlooking the ocean enjoy two nights at Kalaloch Lodge enjoying beach walks, a whale watching cruise and hiking.

Your lodgings for the next 2 nights are nestled in the rainforest overlooking Lake Quinault. Rent a boat or take a short drive to view Merriman Falls. In the evenings, sit around the fire on the shingle beach at the hotel and take in the wonderous night sky. Reservations are highly recommended for dinner at the hotel.

This morning drive back to Seattle to drop off your car hire and board your cruise as it sets sail to the Alaskan waters. Pass the shoreline of mainland British Columbia and Vancouver Island on your journey towards this iconic destination and the wonderful ports of call.

Today is spent cruising Stephens Passage as you head towards your first port of call in Alaska - Juneau. A trip on the Mount Roberts Tramway is highly recommended. There are several trails at the top of the mountain with spectacular views of the harbour below.

Simply jaw-dropping! With jagged mountains, rainforests and fjords, Glacier Bay is a highlight of your Alaska Cruise. Home to numerous wildlife species and exceptionally beautiful scenery, you will spend time cruising through the bay, with time to admire the views and spot wildlife along the way, before heading to Icy Strait Point.

Today you will spend time in Sitka, and there are many onshore excursions that you can pre-book. One of the popular attractions is the Sitka Raptor Centre, where you can see how they protect and preserve birds of prey by rehabilitating and returning injured birds from across Alaska including eagles, hawks, falcons and owls.

With a strong Native Alaskan culture and fishing industry, Ketchikan is well worth a visit. The scenery of Alaska in the Tongass National Forest and the Misty Fjords National Monument make this area a fantastic place to visit and explore.

This evening your port of call is Victoria, the beautiful Provincial Capital of British Columbia. Spend some time walking down the harbourfront area and enjoy the Canadian hospitality, before embarking for your final journey to Seattle.
