Upon arrival make your way to your hotel either by train or taxi and spend the rest of the day exploring the city.

Washington DC is one of the most vibrant cities on the east coast of the USA. With tree-lined streets and an uncluttered skyline, the city has a friendly and welcoming feel. Take in the numerous iconic buildings, including the White House or the Capitol Building and explore the many museums, including the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum or the spectacular O Street Museum.

You may also choose to take a walk down the National Mall where you will find numerous memorials and monuments, or visit the waterfront of Georgetown. And with the extensive and affordable Metro Network, you could take a journey out to the city of Alexandria across the Potomac River, view the Pentagon building or make a visit to the nearby Arlington National Cemetery. After filling your day, relax and enjoy the evening at some of the wonderful restaurants and bars.

It’s time to move on to your next destination - Philadelphia. Taking the Amtrak Regional Service, sit back and relax as the countryside passes by.

The state of Pennsylvania’s largest city, Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, is home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. As the birthplace of American independence, the city is steeped in history and has multiple museums and exhibits to discover. Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Reading Terminal Market or the Independence National Historic Park. Later, walk along South Street which is home to over 300 shops, eateries, cafes and bars.

After another journey on Amtrak’s Regional Service, you will arrive into New York ready to explore the “Big Apple”.

One of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world, there is so much to do and see. Visit glorious Central Park and people watch as they exercise with their beloved canine companions, before taking in the panoramic sights from the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, One Vanderbilt Summit or The Edge. You could also visit the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum or the Metropolitan Museum of Art, take a cruise around New York on the Circle Line or simply enjoy some retail therapy at the many New York flagship stores. No visit to the city is complete without experiencing the hustle and bustle of Times Square and, for the theatre lovers, there is an abundance of shows to pick from on Broadway.

Today will be your final journey onboard the Amtrak Regional Service from New York to Boston, where you will pass through some of the finest coastal scenery that the state of Connecticut has to offer.

Whilst Boston is a walkable city, it also offers one of the world’s oldest subway systems and the oldest in the USA dating back to 1897. Take a stroll through Boston Common and the Public Garden, which is a tranquil haven in the heart of the city. From Back Bay to the Boston Waterfront, the Freedom Trail to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, this city has it all.
