Arrive in Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, oozing good old Southern charm, iconic music attractions, fabulous food, and popular live music venues. Country music and music generally is the heart and soul of the city, with the ‘honky tonk’ bars on Broadway playing music all day long. Attractions not to be missed are RCA Studio B where many country songs were recorded by artists including Dolly Parton and one of the largest music museums in the world, the Country Music Hall of Fame. For a special treat go and see a country music concert in the iconic Grand Old Opry! Another recommended stop is Fifth + Broadway home to an array of shops and restaurants and the fascinating National Museum of African American music.

Nashville to Knoxville, 180 miles
Head east to the city of Knoxville, which sits on the Tennessee River and is the perfect springboard to explore the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Market Square located in the heart of downtown is a hive of activity with concerts and an array of restaurants and unique shops plus live music. The Sunsphere dominates the city’s skyline, a one-of-a-kind structure that was built in 1982 for the World Fair. Take in the 360 degrees views from the 4th floor observation deck which has views of World Fair Park and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Pigeon Forge to Chattanooga, 147 miles
Head south-west to the riverside city of Chattanooga, made famous by the Glen Miller song 'Chattanooga Choo Choo'. It is one of the south’s smallest towns, but it has a big heart and is bursting at the seams with character and things to do. Ride the world's steepest passenger incline railway on a mile-long climb up Lookout Mountain where on a clear day you can marvel at views across seven Southern States. Chattanooga is also home to Ruby Falls – North America's tallest and deepest underground waterfall.

Chattanooga to Muscle Shoals, 174 miles
Travel to the north-west corner of Alabama, and Muscle Shoals to learn about the states musical history that makes it the ‘hit recording capital of the world’. Tour the Fame Recording Studio founded by Rick Hall and see the studios where artists including Etta James, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin made hit songs. Also visit Muscle Shoals Sound Studio where Tina Turner and other famous artists recorded and find the secret bar! Stay in the nearby town of Florence for the night.
