Choose your vehicle
Small and medium-sized cars
If you want affordable car hire, then Compact, Intermediate or Full-Size cars might suit you well. Models like the Nissan Versa, Hyundai Elantra and Dodge Charger offer a comfortable ride for couples, a few friends or smaller family groups and are our most cost-effective options. Bear in mind, however, that Western Canada can involve some large driving distances.
SUVs and minivans
SUVs provide the most comfortable ride when you're driving long distances on mountain roads. They also offer an elevated view compared to smaller cars. It might sound like a small thing, but when you're driving past spectacular lakes and mountain peaks, the high seats can make all the difference! SUVs can seat from 5-7 adults comfortably, depending on the model, and have tons of boot space. Minivans seat 7 and are a more affordable way to transport large groups.

If you are planning a fly drive holiday in America and are wondering how difficult it is to drive in the country, then you don’t need to worry. The roads in America are generally very wide and of a high quality and the rules of the road are very similar to that of the UK. The one major difference is that in America, you will be driving on the right side of the road.
You don’t need to organise a Canada fly drive itinerary, you can speak to our Canada travel experts and tell them where you would like to go. We will do the rest of the groundwork and tailor-make the perfect trip for you.
