This is arguably the most ideal time for exploring historic cities like Charleston, visiting plantations, and enjoying outdoor activities before the intense summer heat sets in. Tornado season peaks in early spring, so it's good to be aware of weather forecasts.

Autumn (September to November) sees decreasing humidity and temperatures, making it very pleasant for outdoor exploration. The foliage in the upstate mountainous region is stunning, particularly in October. It's important to note that hurricane season runs from June to November, with a peak between August and October. Charleston
