Day 1-3
Arrive in New Orleans
Arrive in New Orleans, affectionately known as 'The Big Easy', for a three-night stay in this vibrant city where French, African, Caribbean, and Spanish influences blend to create a unique cultural tapestry. Explore its distinct historic neighbourhoods, including the iconic French Quarter, home to lively Bourbon Street and beautiful Jackson Square. Soak up the sounds of live jazz music on Frenchmen Street, enjoy panoramic views from the Vue New Orleans observation deck, and ride the city's historic streetcars for an authentic local experience. Indulge in a famous beignet at Café du Monde, or enhance your stay with a brunch or dinner cruise along the mighty Mississippi River.
Day 3-4
New Orleans to Natchez, 171 miles
Collect your hire car this morning and journey north into Mississippi to Natchez, the oldest permanent settlement on the Mississippi River. Renowned for its Southern hospitality and rich history, Natchez is home to an impressive collection of beautifully preserved antebellum mansions, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region's past. Stroll through the charming downtown streets lined with historic buildings, boutiques, and cafés, or spend the evening soaking up the local atmosphere in one of the area's authentic juke joints.
Day 6
Natchez to Greenwood Mississippi, 197 miles
Follow the path of the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway through lush forests passing significant sights that look back at Mississippi’s history from the prehistoric American Indians to the 19th century. Explore Indianola, home of the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Centre, dedicated to the Delta Blues and the legendary artist B.B. King. Continue to Greenwood your base for the night.
Day 7-8
Greenwood to Memphis, 243 miles
Choose to drive directly to Memphis this morning or drive north-east to Tupelo the birthplace of Elvis Presley, which is commemorated with numerous statues and The Elvis Presley Museum. Stay two nights in Elvis’s much-loved hometown of Memphis, home of the blues, soul, and rock n’ roll. Overflowing with music including nightly live music on Beale Street, and many must-see musical attractions including the Rock n’ Soul Museum, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and Sun Studios. Included during your stay is a visit to Elvis’s beloved home Graceland and his final resting place.
Day 9-11
Memphis to Nashville, 212 miles
Drive to the vibrant capital of Tennessee, Nashville where music can be heard all around the city, whether that is on ‘Broadway’ the lively entertainment area filled with honky-tonk bars or at the famous Grand Ole Opry at a music concert. If you like Johnny Cash, visit the museum that celebrates his life and successful music career or the Country Music Hall of Fame, an expansive museum showcasing legendary to current country music artists, and their stories and how they impacted the music industry. A must visit whilst in the city is RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton amongst others recorded their hits which put Nashville in the centre of the world music stage.
Day 12-13
Nashville to Miami
Fly to Florida to enjoy a two night stay in Miami, prior to your cruise. Miami is famous for its miles of golden sand beaches, lively nightlife, world class cuisine and its vibrant Art Deco architecture. If you want to escape the city, perhaps take an airboat ride through Everglades National Park where you may spot alligators and other wildlife.
Day 14
Holland America
Take a taxi from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, known as the Venice of America. Board your cruise this afternoon and settle into your cabin and enjoy the ships’ fine facilities as you leave Florida behind and head for the Caribbean. Enjoy the next two days at sea and take advantage of the wonderful amenities onboard. Dine in one of the many restaurants, either poolside, at the New York deli, or in the market that has different food stations serving dishes from around the world. Sit poolside or play a game of pickleball at the ocean view courts.

Day 15
Grand Turk
Sail into the crystal-clear turquoise waters of Grand Turk this morning, one of the beautiful islands that make up the Turks and Caicos Islands. You have the choice of staying onboard or joining one of the many ship excursions. Excursions include snorkelling boat trips, the island is surrounded by colourful coral reefs and marine life, or perhaps visit the charming capital Cockburn Town, and see its colonial architecture and fascinating maritime heritage.
Day 16
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Arrive in San Juan this afternoon, a treasure trove of culture, history, and natural beauty. Explore the colourful Old Town and its cobblestone streets lined with colonial buildings and vibrant cafes. Visit the UNESCO-listed Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristobal Spanish Fort, part of the San Juan National Historic Site and learn about the important role they played in Caribbean history. The port area is very walkable and easy to explore and offers great shopping with markets and souvenir shops and restaurant and bars serving tasty seafood and pina coladas, which the island is famous for.
Day 17
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
St. Thomas is your home today, which boasts some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and stunning natural beauty. Optional shore excursions include snorkelling with sea turtles, catching the Skyride to the top of Paradise Point, one of the Caribbean’s most breath-taking viewpoints. Stroll around the harbour town of Charlotte Amalie filled with colonial architecture, forts and fascinating history or island hop over to the nearby island of St. John to see its unspoiled white sand beaches and lush tropical scenery.
Day 18
Holland America
Spend today at sea as you cruise to the Bahamas, enjoying the world class entertainment, such as concerts, fabulous shows or taking in the electric atmosphere in the many bars onboard including the popular Rolling Stones Lounge and listen to electric blues and soul music at the B.B King’s Blues Club.
Day 19
RelaxAway Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
Your final day of your cruise is on Holland America Line’s private and exclusive paradise island RelaxAway Half Moon Cay. Choose to spend your day on the island’s Beach Club soaking up the sun or take one of the optional excursions from snorkelling, kayaking and horseback adventures.
Day 20
Homeward Bound
Disembark this morning after breakfast and depending on your departure flight time, either get a taxi back to Miami airport or pay extra to store your luggage near the port (pre-booking is recommended) and go into Fort Lauderdale for some last minute shopping or soaking up the last of the sun before catching your flight home.
