Day 1-3
Arrive in Boston
On arrival in Boston, make your way to your hotel, your base for the next three nights. One of America’s most cultural cities, Boston is compact and very walkable. Look back at America’s history by walking the 2.5-mile-long Freedom Trail that connects 16 significant sites including Old North Church and Faneuil Hall, stroll around the thriving harbour, join a half-day whale watching cruise in search of humpback, finback and minke whales. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Quincy Market or head to Boston Common to see its pretty gardens and interesting monuments.
Day 4-6
Amtrak - Boston to New York City
Travel by Amtrak train on an approximately 4-hour journey to New York City - the ‘Big Apple’ your home for the next three nights. Bursting with some of the world’s most iconic attractions including the Empire State Building, Central Park and the buzzy and bright billboards in Times Square, there is so much to experience. Head down to the southern tip of Manhattan and walk over beautiful Brooklyn Bridge or catch the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty. To help you get around the city we've included a two-day hop on/off sightseeing bus ticket.
Day 7
Homeward Bound
A final day in New York, perhaps doing some last minute shopping or taking a stroll around pretty Central Park, before making your way back to the airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
