A walkable city, with old world charm, stroll around the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and Vieux Port, enjoy some sweet treats made of maple syrup and be amazed at the breathtaking architecture of Notre-Dame Basilica – one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in Canada. For wonderful views of the city skyline, head to Mount Royal, a beautiful park perfect for a picnic and a hike. During your stay in Montreal, we have included a full day trip to Quebec City to experience its 17th and 18th Century French and Canadian architecture, Parisian style cafes and narrow cobbled alleyways. UNESCO-listed Vieux-Quebec is home to the stunning Citadelle and one of the most photographed buildings in Canada, the grand Fairmont Chateau Frontenac Hotel which dominates the city’s skyline.

VIA Rail - Montreal to Toronto
Travel through the small townships of Quebec and Ontario en route to Canada’s largest city, Toronto. Enjoy a two-night stay in this cosmopolitan city, walk around the beautiful lakefront, take a lake cruise out to Toronto’s Islands on Lake Ontario and travel to the top of the world famous CN Tower to take in the city’s incredible skyline. Visit ‘Old Toronto’ and admire the heritage culture of St. Lawrence Hall and the Flatiron Building, enjoy lunch at bustling St. Lawrence Market and shop until you drop at the Eaton Centre, one of Canada's biggest shopping malls.

VIA Rail Toronto to Niagara Falls

Take to the skies on a helicopter ride or enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the hotels that overlook this majestic wonder.

Amtrak - Niagara Falls to New York City
Join the Amtrak Maple Leaf Service from Niagara Falls that crosses the border to New York City, travelling through the incredible gorges in the Finger Lakes region, New York’s wine country and the beautiful countryside of the Hudson Valley. After your approximately 12-hour train journey enjoy three fun-filled nights soaking up the incredible delights that make up one of the world’s most exciting cities. There is no shortage of things to do in New York, take in one of the world’s most iconic skylines from the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock, atop of the Rockefeller Centre. Hire a bike and cycle around pretty Central Park, walk over the Brooklyn Bridge and take a cruise from Battery Park to the Statue of Liberty. With hundreds of restaurants serving anything from a slice of pizza to Michelin Star cuisine, you certainly won’t go hungry after a day of sightseeing.

Amtrak - New York City to Boston
Take the Northeast Regional Amtrak from New York’s Penn Station to historic Boston where you will stay for two nights. A walkable city, a great way to explore Boston is on the famous Freedom Trail that starts in pretty Boston Common. The 2.5 mile red brick path takes in 16 important sites that shaped Boston’s history. Attractions visited on the trail include Old North Church, the grand Massachusetts State House and the USS Constitution, the world’s oldest commissioned naval warship still afloat. One of the sites also visited is Faneuil Hall, a great place to enjoy lunch from one of the many food stalls and buy some local souvenirs.
